WINTER TRADITIONAL SEASON
IN THE WINTER
This competitive season runs from January to mid-March. It has two different categories, Dance/Drill Teams and Show Teams.
The event sponsor can choose to break the categories into different divisions based on the size of team entering (ex: sm, int, lrg) and not necessarily based on school size (1A, 2A, 3A, etc.)
The State Championships separates all Dance/Drill Teams by 1A/2A/3A, 4A, 5A sm, 5A lrg, 6A sm, 6A lrg.
The Show Teams all compete in one classification.
DANCE/DRILL TEAMS
The Dance/Drill divisions are open only to teams, which do not use props, sets, floors or anything removed from the body during the routine.
SHOW TEAMS
The Show division is open to teams, which use props, sets, floors and costume changes.
