JR HIGH MEMBERSHIP
GOALS OF JR HIGH DANCE TEAMS
It is our goal, at the Jr. High/Middle school level, to provide a very rapidly growing activity with quality, organized events for the participants and coaches. It is our goal as the DDCA to encourage the growth of these programs by providing education, information, and support for coaches.
Jr. High teams wishing to compete at sanctioned DDCA competitions must be members of the DDCA. For more information on how to become a member, please visit the DDCA Membership page.
OREGON JR DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Divisions will be set upon receiving entries.
The OJDTC is anticipating the following divisions:
Mini division (school or private) not to exceed 3rd grade
Youth division (school or private) not to exceed 6th grade
School division-Small-not to exceed 8th grade
School division-Large-not to exceed 8th grade
Club division-Small-not to exceed 8th grade
Club division-Large -not to exceed 8th grade
Junior Varsity (school or private) not to exceed 11th grade
Each team will perform one time only. There will be a morning round and an evening round. The rounds will be set upon receiving entries. 50% of the teams entered in a division will determine the amount of trophies given out, but not to exceed 5 places. Example: 8 teams are entered in a division. 50% of 8 is 4, so 4 places will be given out.
There is no limit on the amount of teams your school or club may enter. But, there are strict guidelines to entering the correct age bracket. A team will be disqualified for having an over age dancer in their group.

RULES
All Jr. High/Middle School must follow the performance and technical rules set forth by DDCA/NFHS and OSAA.
Timing – no minimum, 3 minute maximum of music
Penalties
10 pt.HS = 2 pt. MS
5 pt. HS = 1 pt. MS
3 pt. HS = .6 pt. MS
1 pt. HS = .2 pt. MS
